Abstract

The opportunities for a noticeable expansion of sown areas of agricultural crops in the Central Black Earth economic district (Belgorod, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk and Tambov regions) are exhausted. The increase in agricultural production is only possible through innovative development, and the transition to intensive agricultural technologies. The rise in prices for foodstuffs in comparison with the prices for the means of production, the high profitability of agricultural production and its growth create conditions for such transition in agriculture of Chernozem district. The article shows the importance of improvement and organization of agricultural land use not only in the regions of the Central Black Earth economic district, but in the whole country.
