Abstract

This paper mainly discusses the optimal control for networked control systems (NCSs) with an unreliable communication channel. We consider that the state information is sent over a Packet loss channel where the packet losses may be randomly occurred according to a Markov chain. Using Pontryagin’s maximum principle, the conditions for the finite horizon optimal control problem is obtained according to a set of Riccati equations. In addition, the explicit solution to the optimal controllers and the associated performance index are given.
