Team Building Activities for Virtual Teams in Jordanian Companies: Vision and Survey

Abstract

Recently business owners are raising the importance of working with virtual teams using predefined telecommunication technologies and encourage the idea of investing in innovative team building activities in order to enhance internal relationships between individuals despite their different geographical locations and cultures, which eventually it will affect project completion results. Therefore this paper study team building activities for virtual teams especially in Jordanian companies through conducted systematic mapping study for previous researches. Also, we aim to find out the correlation between the application of virtual teams structure in Jordanian companies with its impact on efficiency scale and cost-effectiveness by building a model from our questionnaire survey results. The outcomes of this study should provide useful information to Jordanian companies regarding the impact of team building activities for virtual teams and their correlation with efficiency scale and cost-effectiveness in projects.
