Abstract

Pre-application of low ac V( suppresses ac tree initiation in pure LDPl no additive. This "training effect' different from the so called "voltage harc effect" in additive doped samples. Ac v( application produces the deteriorated reg. high field area, which is the preci phenomena of tree initiation. The experir results suggest that the training effec closely related to the formation deteriorated region. This paper also des( the ac pre-stressing effect on impulse initiation.
