Three typical disturbances cases are simulated and discussed, which are the single-pole fault in the DC side, AC line fault and continuous disturbance on the machine side. Abstract

HVDC has the advantages of lower cost and stronger controllability and is widely used in renewable energy access and asynchronous interconnection of power grids. This paper introduces the performance analysis and simulation of PSS in the thermal power cluster of LCC HVDC in AC-DC hybrid system. The transmission characteristics of disturbances in AC and DC systems are also discussed.
