Abstract

This paper proposes an integrated approach to the VNE problem, in which different virtual nodes of a virtual network could be assigned to a physical node as long as this node's available resources can satisfy the total resource requirements of these virtual nodes. We carry out extensive simulations to investigate the benefits of sharing physical nodes.
