“Entre Plantas, Curadores e Entidades”: o Modelo Terapêutico do Centro Ayahuasqueiro Flor de Jasmim

Abstract

In this article we describe the therapeutic particularities from the Centro Ayahuasqueiro Flor de Jasmim; religious group about which we dedicate the ethnographic presentation of the phenomena related to the establishment of health and the treatment of diseases. For such, we describe the cases observed in the field, as well of the narratives of the Center's curators. In conclusion, we detect that the effectiveness of local therapies is associated with the role of healers, patients and entities in complex interactions for the acquisition of health and to expel diseases and other problems in the lives of people assisted by the Center.
