Abstract

Soil erosion of the upper basin of Guanting reservoir in Zhangjiakou was assessed based on Landsat TM5(2007-5-19) and DEM (1∶50000). (SL190-2007) and the multifactor comprehensive method were adopted, and land use, vegetal cover and slope were selected as assessing factors. The result shows that very low soil erosion covers 43.36%, and the intensive soil erosion patches are rather fragmentized and difficult to be treatment uniformly.
