Abstract
With the wide applications of large-scale wireless sensor networks (WSNs), the WSN maintenance becomes more and more significant. However, little work has been done in such area. There is even no clear definition for the WSN maintenance. In this paper, after overviewing the problem related work, we provide a problem formulation of WSN maintenance. Then a series of definitions associated with WSN maintenance are given. Finally, the affect factors of WSN maintenance are analyzed and some research topics are listed.
