Abstract

We propose and present a semi-analytical model to study the interaction between surface plasmon polaritons generated by phase-matching structures in corrugated dielectric/metal interfaces. The proposed semi-analytical model calculates surface plasmon polariton dynamics that agree well with that found from the full-field vectorial finite difference time domain (FDTD) simulations.
