Abstract

In this research work, we develop a new effective procedure based on bio-inspired techniques in order to resolve the single machine total weighted tardiness problem (SMTWT). The presented algorithm is based on evolutionary algorithms such as genetic algorithm and a local search metaheuristic. The proposed system is evaluated on 125 instances of all the standard benchmark problem cases with 40, 50 and 100 coming from OR-Library. Obtained results showed the potent of the developed approach compared to some other recently literature works.
