Abstract

This paper discusses the use of slot geometry as a multi-functional structure in integrated 4G/5G applications. It will be demonstrated that while working as a highly directive antenna at millimeter-wave, the slot can be utilized as either an omnidirectional antenna at the lower frequency or an effective decoupling structure for the low-frequency antenna system.
