Abstract

This research proposes a porous model for water dispersion in Chinese absorbent paper, a family of papers for Chinese ink painting. The absorbent paper is regarded as a filter membrane with capillary tubes and Darcy's Law is applied for fluid dynamic. Experiments prove that such simulation provides promising results and can be amended and applied for simulating other capillary action in paper such as Chinese ink dispersion in realtime.
