Abstract

This paper introduces a multistage comb structure with a decreased complexity and an increased aliasing attenuation compared to the existing systems. The complexity and aliasing rejection of the proposed design are measured by the number of adders per output sample (APOS) and the minimum folding band attenuation (MFA), respectively. The comparisons with the recent decimation structures proposed in the literature demonstrated that this design provides higher minimum folding band attenuation while requiring fewer APOS.
