Abstract
After the Britton Woods Agreement 1944,the US Dollar occupied a prominent place in the World Economy, to replace gold and sterling as a principal instruments of payment in international transactions, and a principal reserve currency. By 1999, the Euro currency appeared as a strong competitor for the USD in the view of the status in which enjoyed by the Euro-zone economy in the world.
