Abstract

Forest transpiration is an important topic in many environmental sciences fields, such as forestry, forest ecology and hydrology. Many monitoring systems have been developed to measure this variable. Among those, there is the sap flux measurement. The Tree Talkers are devices that have been recently developed for eco-physiological and microenvironmental monitoring of forests, and they can produce a big amount of data with a good compromise between efforts and benefits. Those data must be properly handled. This contribution presents ttprocessing: an R package with Graphical User Interface for dealing with data produced by Tree Talkers, illustrating a case study of real application of this system and discussing the potentialities of those tools.
