Abstract

In this paper, the transmission coefficients of high power microwave (HPM) in plasma-filled metallic parallel-plate waveguide is studied by FDTD method. The important parameters of the plasma generated in the waveguide, such as the electron density, are calculated by COMSOL using fluid approximation method. Under the incident wave working in TM mode, the behavior of the plasma is similar to that of the high-pass filtering with 60 dB loss at the cut off frequency.
