Abstract

In order to achieve an antenna with robustness to metal for closed space wireless communications, the impedance characteristics of folded monopole antennas (FMA) have been investigated in detail. In this study, we propose the folded monopole antenna, which can switch the input impedance and resonant frequency by a simple method. Simulated results show the antenna which can be switched to three modes with different resonant frequencies and input impedance by controlling the connection of the antenna elements.
