South Borneo is the province with the highest prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia. Compliance in using drugs for hypertension patients is important to control the patient’s blood pressure. Objective: This study analyzes factors affecting the compliance of hypertensive patients to their antihypertensive drugs in nine village coverage Puskesmas Serongga Kotabaru. Method: This study uses a descriptive-analytic and cross-sectional approach with 379 hypertension patients recorded in the data of Healthy Indonesia Program with Family Approach (PIS-PK) 2018 of Puskesmas Serongga Kotabaru as a sample with total sampling technique. The data was obtained based on questionnaire results and processed with Chi-Square Test using SPSS version 18. Results and discussion: The result of this study, 237 respondents were adults (62.5%), 216 respondents were female (57.0%) and 115 respondents came from Tegalrejo village (30.3%). A total of 257 respondents had a second degree of hypertension (67.8%), and the majority of respondents had poor knowledge and compliance (75.2%; 80.2%). The degree of hypertension and knowledge has significant results (p=0.000, OR 5.125 CI 95% 3.0-8.757; p=0.000 OR 46.23 CI 95% 22.494-95.030). There was no significant effect on age and gender factors (p=0.104, OR 1.571 CI 95% 0.909-2.717; p=0.846, OR 1.052 CI 95% 0.632-1.750).
