Abstract

Assignments of FIR laser lines in optically pumped CD3OH are described. Fermi resonance will occur in energy levels between n=0, τ=1, K=1 torsional levels of vibrational state and n=3,4 τ=1, K=1 levels of ground state. Discrepancy between the expected transition and the pump CO2 laser frequencies of 10R(18) and 10R(8) is corrected by the introduction of the Fermi resonance. The calculated wavenumber of expected transition pumped by 10R(36) also is corrected with Fermi resonance in τ=3 K=9 torsional levels more accurately.
