Our works focus on the followings: 1) a few of external electrical properties of HID lamps have been measured to represent the V-I characteristic and output power vs. equivalent resistance as well as external voltage vs. equivalent resistance; 2) based on the measurement results, a new electrical model has been proposed from 1kHz to 30kHz if the lamps are working no acoustic resonance condition. In order to verify the proposed model, a few of the different brands lamps have been tested. Abstract
