Abstract

Ostrovsky’s voluminous dramatic legacy is being comprehended from the standpoint of thinking through the depths of the national state, awakening the national spirit. Primary attention is paid to the specific tasks of the theater to promote the spiritual progress of public life through humanitarian architecture. In a certain sense, the work fills the gap associated with the lack of understanding of the human significance of the artistic activity of the founder of the national scene.
