Abstract

A conformal sinuous antenna on 2.5-6.5GHz is presented in this paper. The antenna consists of four sinuous metal arms and two tapered microstrip baluns. The four arms are printed on a conical dielectric substrate by Laser Direct Structuring (LDS) technology. The VSWR of the antenna is less than 2.5:1 over the frequency band and the axial ratio (AR) of both left-hand and right-hand circular polarization are below 3dB.
