Abstract

A distribution network links the bulk power system to the utilities and customers. The reliability of such a system is assessed by the performance at the customer end, i.e., at the load points. This paper presents the performance and comparison of the reliability indices by increment of load using a multiplying factor (α) and composite mode of load increment on every node for a 33-node distribution network. Hence for getting healthy mode of operation of distribution network a balance point between the outages and frequency of failure due to limited resource of power have been studied.
