Abstract
In this article, we provide an interpretation of Matteo Salvivi's populist political language in Italy. Analyzing the form and content of the aesthetic and political manifestations posted on the digital media, we seek to demonstrate the strength of the emotional words and images in the construction of a new subjectivity and political audience, which enabled the success of the Lega party at Italian election of March 2018.
