Although the book intentionally avoids digressions into areas that lack consensus, ample references are provided for the reader whowants to delve more deeply into the science. Useful tables and figures are spaced throughout, and a comprehensive index helps readers quickly find specific topics. Blank pages at the end allow the reader to make their own notes as they go.
