An OMT-G model for the urban registry of the city of João Pessoa - PB

Abstract

This work makes a brief discussion about the Land Cadastre, approaching the technologies related to the Land Administration System (LAS) and commenting on how they enabled changes in the way of organizing the territory information. The work evidences the elaboration of an open structure for the development of an OMT-G model - Object Modeling Technique for Geographic Applications, for the Urban Land Cadastre (ULC) of João Pessoa, capital of Paraíba (PB), in Brazil. The present study promotes a theoretical and methodological discussion for the identification and functional differentiation of cadastral parcels, from the implementation of the OMT-G model of ULC in a Geographical Database of a certain area of the city of João Pessoa, which allows to discuss the potential and practical possibilities of this model.
