Abstract
On the occasion of a stay in Chile, I attend and live with the awakening of the Chilean people that took place during October 2019. An awakening that silenced completely the University and almost all the institutions inherited from Modernity. With this text, I want to reflect on the scope of this silence and this difficulty of the aacademia to participate more actively in the debates of the present.
