The Concept of Precautionary Measures against Viral/Contagious Diseases in Islam

Abstract

During a pandemic, mankind suffers a lot which arises the need to find out the teachings of Islam during such dire circumstances since Islam is a complete code of conduct, it provides guidance in all situations. On the one hand, it ordains to exercise cure/treatment and precaution and on the other hand, it encourages patience and hope of reward from Allah Almighty in case of Being affected by these calamities, Every Muslim believes that his/her hour of death is fixed and no matter what the circumstances be, he should always remain optimistic seeking the divine mercy of Allah. This article is an attempt to elucidate the Islamic view point regarding the epidemic and non-epidemic diseases and the precautions to be taken in order to prevent them. And there will be a research review on the precautionary measures against the corona virus and many other similar diseases in the current era.
