Abstract
Execution of super PC frameworks significantly relies on the interconnections of its segments, for example, processor and their memory modules. Because of expanding number of hubs in super PC frameworks Multistage Interconnection Networks (MIN) are generally utilized as interconnection systems for these frameworks. To have superb execution of such frameworks, MIN must be fault tolerant, dynamically re-routable, cost effective and above all ultra reliable. Hence it has greatly attracted the interest of researchers to enhance reliability of MIN. Shuffle Exchange Networks (SEN) is vital as MIN for actualizing above errand. In spite of the fact that significant work has been done on SEN, yet (i) Literature lacks in organization and classification of SEN MIN and, (ii) There exist no examination of various properties, for example, Reliability, Fault-tolerance, Cost effectiveness, Path length and so on. In this paper we have proposed classification of SEN MIN, and also compared above mentioned parameters of all regular SEN MIN proposed till date to the best of our insight. This investigation will permit to comprehend and select suitable SEN for the concerned application relying on the accessibility of cost and so on.
