Abstract

Safety critical computer control systems are dealt with, which can be employed in medical applications. Safety licensing of such systems, especially of their software parts, is extremely difficult and for the time being almost impossible except for the trivial cases. In the presented approach, the article proposes how to design both the hardware and the software of a control system for safety critical applications in order to enhance the safety and to allow for its licensing.
