Abstract

An optimal feature classification scheme is developed for multilook polarimetric SAR (synthetic aperture radar) imagery based on a multivariate complex Wishart distribution. The purpose is to identify various ground covers, such as forest, vegetation, city block, ocean, and sea ice type.
