The choice of calibration method is closely related to the ambient environment of the radar station. This paper reports a calibration measurement of the UHF-band shore-based radar with active radar calibrator (ARC) on a fishing boat. It was found that multipath propagation effect due to the sea surface could not be eliminated as due to the ground. Abstract
Radar external calibration is an important means to obtain the radar cross section (RCS) of unknown target.
