The study shows that a stylistic analysis is helpful and important to an analysis of verbal configuration of a text. Abstract
The aim of this present paper is to analyze William Butler Yeats’ Poem ‘The second coming’ from the stylistic analysis perspective. The stylistic analysis envisaged here views the poem as a linguistic construct in terms of phonological, lexical, syntactic and semantic aspects. The study shows that a stylistic analysis is helpful and important to an analysis of verbal configuration of a text.
