Abstract

This paper presents a rectangular reconfigurable waveguide filter to switch between stop-band and pass-band state according to demand. Irises and stubs are used to construct and modify the waveguide’s inner cavity structure, so as to formulate different filtering patterns. To verify the concept, we simulate a bandstop filter and a bandpass filter respectively. In such a design, state switching can be realized with great convenience and reliability through filter attitude adjustment. Furthermore, multifrequency switch can be implemented by cascading several filters of different working frequencies. This device can be used in antenna system for interference resisting or channel selecting.
