Abstract
Formulas for hearing diagnosing and audiometry are considered based on the formula for middle ear norm parameter by means of existing multifrequency tympanometers. It was found that in cases when children have normal middle ear condition, the volume of the outer acoustic meatus is equal to the equivalent volume of the ear at the resonance frequency, which allows determining the norm parameter and the volume of the tympanum even with a single-frequency tympanometer. It is shown that the oscillation amplitude of the auditory sensitivity threshold for acoustic pressure at the resonance frequency is equal to the quality of the middle ear. This represents a new diagnostic technique at the functional (reversible) level. A simple technique for diagnosing hearing of newborns based on the genetic relationship between the formants of sound “a” and the resonant frequency of the middle ear is proposed.
