Abstract

A UWB Vivaldi array antenna has been designed on low cost FR4 substrate which is operational in the UWB band of 1.25-4 GHz with Su less than -10 dB with optimum performance in 2-3.5 GHz frequency band used in Through Wall Sensing (TWS) applications. The proposed Vivaldi antenna has been optimized with Ansoft HFSS for achieving compact size and optimum performance. The manufactured antenna array results have shown good parameters which are in line with simulation results.
