Abstract

An efficient moment of method (MoM) for the solution of electromagnetic scattering from inhomogeneous dielectric objects is presented. This method is based on the higher-order volume integral equations (VIEs). Higher-order geometrical modeling and a new family of higher-order prism hierarchical divergence-conforming vector basis functions are used, and the simplified higher-order vector basis functions for inhomogeneous thin dielectric objects are proposed. By comparison, we can see that the time consumption and memory cost are reduced and the convergence becomes better by the simplified basis functions.
