The design object is the product, but the purpose of the design is not the product, but to meet the needs of people, that is, the design is for people. The purpose of cultural and creative design of ceramic products is not only the expression of cultural and creative design, but also the practicability and demand of products. Therefore, the cultural and creative design of ceramic products must conform to modern life. The application of VR interactive technology in ceramic design and production is a new breakthrough in the participation of large-scale machines. This paper designs a ceramic sculpture system by using VR interactive virtual technology and JAVA platform. The system includes template management, sketch management and specification management, and provides basic data for design and testing modules. Through high-quality design algorithms of free-form surfaces and curves, innovative design of ceramic shapes and textures can be promoted; in the new development of VR technology in ceramic design, computer-aided design has successfully solved the design and drawing of various drawings in ceramic design.
