Abstract

A low-profile antenna using loop element that has vertical polarization and bi-directional beam pattern is designed and measured. As a result, the proposed antenna can decrease the side lobe compare to the structure with a microstrip element and enhance the main lobe of the vertical plane in the parallel direction to the ground plane. The proposed antenna with only 3.2mm thickness, and gains is 7.0 dBi.
