Abstract

Surface plasmon sensors offer high sensitivity and real time measurement and are used in a wide range of fields such as environment, plant, biology, chemistry, medicine and physics. In order to realize high sensitivity and remote sensing of the fiber type device, we analyzed the structure dependence of the sensitivity at the communication wavelength of 1500 nm band for the device with a fiber tip and gold particles attached. Actualy we fabricated the sensors and achieved fundamental sensing operation with high sensitivity.
