Abstract

We demonstrate vertically-stacked photovoltaic/bypass diode module to generate a lifted output voltage (4.24V) with linear shadow response in electrical power (around 0.2 mW per PV cell) in a compact manner (4.84 mm2). The proposed device configuration allows further integration of sensor circuits and super-capacitors to realize a compact self-powered system.
