Abstract
In this paper, the 64.57 mm x 112.53 mm x 1.6 mm hexa-band monopole reconfigurable antenna is designed and simulated. The proposed antenna can be operated within the range of 660 MHz–3.56 GHz. It can be switched the resonance frequencies between the tri-band at 915 MHz ISM standard, 2.3 GHz WiMAX and 3.6 GHz 5G standard and the another dual band in candidate 5G standard, which are 700 MHz and 3.45 GHz for an OFF and ON state single PIN switch diode, respectively. In addition, the 1.3 GHz resonance frequency is also achieved for the ON state PIN switch diode. The impressive return loss and gain as well as the radiation patterns are observed from the simulation results.
