Abstract

Accident experience of a particular location is more than the other locations of the same road, due to the road or environmental conditions. These locations are called as accident prone area. The accident prone areas are identified based on the observed number of crashes and regression analyses. But these methods have its own limitation. The goal of this study was to help the drivers as well as government to identify most stressful locations during driving and identify accident-prone areas before any accidents are occurring. In this study, we used heart rate variability (HRV) analysis for the driver stress level monitoring and link driver stress with an application on the head unit runs the infotainment system.
