Abstract

This paper presents a strip line fed slot loaded balanced antipodal Vivaldi antenna for phased array systems, electronic warfare applications and ultra-wide band applications. The reported antenna with dimensions of $56 \times 28 \times 1.6\ \text{mm}^{3}$ is analyzed, designed and simulated and found to be satisfactorily operating in the 5-20 GHz frequency band.
