Abstract

This work investigates the change of separation efficiency of an electrostatic precipitator due to different operating power supply modes. The power supply can operate with DC and impulse mode, with almost ten different settings. The dust flow is higher than its originally planned. A correlation can be observed between the corona current and dust emission, but also several parameter connections are presented, such as the effect of the gas flow rate or the amount of incoming dust on the separation. This article aims to set up an optimal operation to minimize emissions.
