Abstract

The introduction of Common Channel Signalling, CCS, and Telecommunications Management Network [1], TMN, creates a new security situation in the public telecommunication area Earlier, public exchanges were managed individually, and to some extent manual intervention locally at the switch was the only way to intervene with the switch's operation.
