Abstract

The characteristics of a periodically-illuminated CPW phase shifter is investigated by the spectral domain approach combined with the cascaded transmission line equivalent circuit. It is found that the phase shifter characteristics can be improved by the use of periodic illumination instead of uniform illumination.
