Abstract

Towalink is an open source solution for interconnecting multiple sites securely and flexibly. It is based on WireGuard and BGP. With central management of the site routers, it can be considered an "SD-WAN light". We explain the rationale and design decisions of the implementation and share the experiences of using the solution in a real-world setup with a complex topology.
