Abstract

The membership of the Slovak Republic in the European Union fundamentally determines the international status of the Slovak Republic, represents the primary environment for the implementation of key interests of the Slovak Republic, provides adequate opportunities to influence international decisions and processes that have an impact on the security and quality of life of the citizens of the Slovak Republic. As a member of the European Union, the Slovak Republic participates in the processes of creating all European policies including the Common Foreign and Security Policy. At the same time, of course, it actively participates in fulfilling and ensuring the goals and tasks arising from it.
